| A thread about the hit series of books starring the young Dragonrider Eragon and his dragon Saphira, and their exploits attempting to take down the evil king of Alagaisia, Galbatorix. The first 2 books, Eragon and the mammoth-sized Eldest are already out, and personally I think they're fantastic reads. The 3rd book, Brisignr (sp?), is due out this summer, so I'm massively looking forward to that. Better still, what was once going to be a trilogy of books is now going to be a set of 4. And if they match the huge length and awesomeness of Eldest, it's gonna be a series worth reading again and again, for a helluva long time. As for the film of Eragon... meh, it's not that good in comparison to the books. As a stand-alone film for someone who hasn't read the books, it's a pretty cool movie. But compared to the book, so much is missed or unnecessarily changed So, your thoughts on the series? | |
